Best Celtics Start EVAH

December 12, 2008

With last night’s 122-88 dismantling of the Wizards:

“The Celtics pushed to a franchise-best 21-2 start by hammering the Washington Wizards, 122-88, at the Verizon Center. With their 13th straight win, the Celtics also tied the sixth-best winning streak in franchise history. With two more wins, the defending champs will match the best 25-game start in league history.”

My favorite:

“House (14 points, 4 of 5 on 3-pointers) nailed two straight threes to put Boston up, 101-77, with 8:35 remaining in the fourth quarter. After the Wizards followed by calling a timeout, House told the crowd to go home. Many of the 20,173 seemed to follow his order.”

All 5 starters scored in double digits. Ray Allen and Paul Pierce combined for 44 points.

KG underperformed, however, and there’s worry that he has a knee injury.

James Posey and the Hornets tonight as the C’s go for 14 in a row.
