Celtics Make It 18
December 22, 2008
The Celtics walloped the Knicks last night to extend their win streak to 18, tying the 1981-2 Celtics for the longest win streak in club history, no small accomplishment. Meanwhile, their 26-2 season start ties the 1966-7 Sixers and 1969-70 Knicks for best start in NBA history.
Green17 at CelticsBlog points out that only 2 years ago, the Celtics racked up an 18-game LOSING streak. Amazing.
Rajon Rondo scored 26 points. 7 players scored in double digits.
Tomorrow night the Celtics try to break all the records when they host Philadelphia at the Garden, 7:30pm start.
Also in Celtics news, Glenn Davis was injured in a car crash last night on the Mass. Pike on the way to the game. He was taken to Brigham and Women’s with whiplash and concussion.
